The American Military Cemetery at Maddingley has some lovely autumn colour from a few beech and maple trees through the site on the western edge of Cambridge. After a little colourful fresh air in what is an, essentially, sad place I went down to Cambridge to see the Christmas decorations and the shoppers rushing around the Grand Arcade. It appears that continental drift must have accelerated if the North Pole is now in Cambridge. In the cemetery there was a large work crew tidying up fallen leaves. They will be busy for a few weeks yet.
