Goslings and Bluebells
Thursday, 20 April 2023 10:47
The first greylag goslings of 2023 are up and about at the Lodge, with another nest with 7 eggs giving hope for more. The geese share the garden with RSPB staff and a new bird for me which I think is a turbit pigeon. The rings indicate it is a bird in someone’s collection maybe. The goslings were being guarded by mum and dad and the arrival of the turbit created a lot of noise from the geese. Through the reserve the daffodials are giving way to the bluebells, always a welcome sight as the days get longer and warmer.
