It has been a lovely few days with Tim and Debs visiting few local spots including Gooderstone and its water gardens where there were flocks of red admirals on show. There were also plenty of other insects, indicating this is a successful wildlife garden, including some lovely green veined whites and a solitary comma. There are some lovely plants and a bit of art to add interest. It is a delightful place to just wander and grab a cup of tea. On Wednesday we spent the day in Cambridge and had our first visit to the Whipple Museum of the History of Technology. Small but interesting. They put the bunting out for us and you can seen one of the new electric buses which we enjoyed from the park and ride and we finished the afternoon at the American Military Cemetery at Maddingley including a distant view of Ely Cathedral indicating that the air was pretty clear.
