Summer has returned and it was nice to have a coffee and walk with Paul and Ange yesterday at the Lodge. It was good to feel the sun again after quite a few grey days. The muntjac above, typically, was not too fussed to see us. The warm weather is good for attracting butterflies like the common blue on the edge of the old heath, where the heather is in bloom, and a speckled wood nearby. For texture, the light was harsh on the tree of life carving. Paul did not have a dedicated camera with him so had to wade into the ferns for a photo on his phone which might look something like the photo at the end of the post.
