It was a story of dodging the showers over the weekend, successfully I might add. I visited a couple of my go-to local spots, the Lodge Nature Reserve and the small town of St Ives. I’ll start with a Sunday morning in St Ives which has some Charles III fabric panels on the tollbooth and people enjoying the features of this market town on the Great Ouse. I’ll finish with a glimpse of the bonnie purple heather on the old heath at the Lodge with a couple of flowers including a sunflower with an attendant hover fly. A nice weekend.
