I realised it had been a while since I visited Paxton Pits and expected it to be a bit muddy. Not at all. Although grey here for, what seems like, weeks we have not actually had much steady rain. My boots were a bit of overkill but not to worry. There was not much to photograph but I enjoyed the walk. I’ll finish with quite a rare sight. A young wood pigeon in the garden. Paul and Helen noticed them last week and a couple keep coming back. This one was on its own. There was also this scruffy blue tit in for what was left of the fat balls after the starlings had had their fill.
