I had a few hours before the departure of my ferry to Holyhead on a nice morning. I took a short trip to the harbour and summit in Howth before heading to the port, first to charge the car for the onward journey eventually to Shrewsbury and then to queue for the crossing. The highlights in the harbour were our old boatman, above, and a beautiful grey heron. The view at the summit is impressive down to Baily lighthouse and beyond Dublin bay towards Wicklow. There are plenty of hooded crows aoround looking for scraps. I did not bother with too many photos on the ferry but there was a nice framing of the harbour entrance at Holyhead that I could not resist.
