Winter in St Neots

I enjoy my regular walks around the town. We are blessed with paths which take you away from traffic so little noise and pollution. These photos are from the past couple of days. Although comfortably below zero overnight and in fact when I was out yesterday there is still limited visible frost as the humidity is pretty low. The power station at Little Barford creates its own clouds in weather like this. It almost acts as a thermometer. There are actually two cloud sources, the main exhaust chimneys and behind the low level cooling towers. The cold weather has frozen a large part of the marina, creating interesting challenges for the swans. My local squirrel was pretty bold despite spotting me it was determined to get to the sunflower hearts.
