I have been out and about in Cambridge and at Old Warden where there remains plenty of water. No punts on the Cam, I guess because the river is running too fast and deep and I should note very muddy. I took a wander along the Cam to Jesus Green which has one of my favourite avenues of trees which look good at any time of the year. The fire brigade were out on the river doing exercises. Better them than me. There are obvious signs of local flooding but not at all bad. There is always plenty of water with happy mallards in the Swiss Garden at Old Warden but an extra treat was the overnight rain clinging to the flowers.
