Although I had a late start yesterday the sunshine held out so that I could enjoy a visit to St Ives, now above the waterline. There was plenty of activity on the water with juniors from the rowing club, pleasure cruisers and even a steam boat as you can see below. He even tooted his horn under the town bridge. It has been a while since I was here and on a previous visit the area was flooded, in fact, flooded multiple times at the beginning of the year. There are a couple of comparison pictures to illustrate what one area is supposed to be like and what happens when it rains. It was also nice to see a brood of mute swans minding its own business amongst the boats and ducks.
