Clearing the Decks

I am preparing to head off for a, long antcipated, trip to Norway at the end of the week and decided to clear a little backlog of local snaps. Remember the unfortunate accident with the Miles M-3A. It is now in the maintenance hanger at Old Warden as you can see above. The engine has now been removed for inspection and repair. To get the Miles into the best position required a shuffle of the other aircraft in the hanger. Nice for interesting photos. There are often visitors like this nice Cessna to add interest. Usually when I visit Old Warden I take a walk in the Swiss Garden and met a couple of young coots and the little flock of peacocks. I find the ringlet to be a pretty little butterfly. There were a few water droplets after overnight rain. A short walk was possible at the Lodge before more welcome rain and the Dartmoor ponies were holed up under their favourite tree.
