It was a busy morning, yesterday, at Old Warden where, eventually, there was a record number of rotorcraft on site. I was there a little too early to see them all but there were a few already there. Little Nellie was there and I hope it was the only autogyro that had flamethrowers and aerial mines. The rotorcraft event coincided with an Aston Martin owners club drive in just to add a little automobile interest. The current management at the Shuttleworth Collection are determined to add more and more events and it seems to be working. There were lots of people along for the day and the Runway Cafe was doing a roaring trade. Although the event was free, I am sure many people took the opportunity to make a paid visit to the collection hangers and the Swiss Garden.
