Snowdrops arriving at Anglesey Abbey
Thursday, 1 February 2024 11:41
As January came to an end I took a run over to Anglesey Abbey to see if the snowdrops were out and some were. This is the busiest time of the year at this popular National Trust site so getting there early is a good plan. It is still early in the snowdrop season but there were plenty on display and, anyway, it is always a nice walk. There were even some early daffodils and the two in the photo seemed to be whispering to each other. It is always nice to see little bits of colour from witch hazel and lots of plants I do not recognise. There were a couple of robins keeping an eye on their territory. I’ll round up with a few general shots along the way including a dual purpose bench providing a bird toilet and a resting place for the inattentive!
