Winter is essentially shades of grey but there is colour hiding in this greyness like the little fruit above in the Swiss Garden. The little pansies don’t seem to mind a little winter rain. Snowdrops, moss on a wall and a terracotta pot work for me. We are lucky that we can enjoy the Swiss Garden and the Shuttleworth Collection in the same location. It is Engineering Weekend, this weekend, but us local members we get to see things develop on a regular basis. On Thursday the Bleriot XI, the worlds oldest ‘original’ flying aeroplane, was in the Engineering hangar for its annual check. Lovely. I have posted some pictures of the collection’s DH Dragon Rapide which is effectively being rebuilt from the ground up and now that it is getting a lick of paint it is looking brilliant. I will finish with a couple more gentle colour images from the Lodge yesterday.
