Since catching a flu or bronchial bug nearly two weeks ago I have pretty much been house bound coughing and sniffling. Although I started to feel better on Monday I waited till Tuesday to test my energy levels with a short walk at the Lodge. Not great but not too bad. I followed up with a short walk in the Swiss Garden yesterday after a coffee with my pal Paul. It is good to be out and about again with camera in hand and summer is rushing foreward all around. Here are some snaps that I grabbed along the way and, as well as a coffee with Paul, the overnight rain and therefore raindrops were an encouragement to visit the Swiss Garden. Colour is bursting out everywhere and amazingly there were even some resiliant snowdrops hanging on. The colour was equally obvious at the Lodge but the big hit is the bluebells. There are always a good number of insects at the Lodge and the final picture shows a handsome hornet which joined me at the Tree of Life. Very nice.
