A Jaunt to Bonnie Scotland Part 2

A little honesty here. It is not always sunny in Scotland. Who knew? That does not stop the fearless nature watchers at RSPB Mersehead and Bainloch Deer Park, near Dalbeattie. Fortunately there is a lovely cafe at the Deer Park and we sat scoffing our lunch while the rain finally eased off. Anne and Douglas’s new binoculars were a hit in one of the hides at Mersehead but the proximity of the deer at Bainloch meant that they could be allowed to dry off. It was good news for Sam after the rain had passed so by the time we took him for a late afternoon walk on the beach all was right with the world. We even had a huge flock of geese darken the sky singing along the way, and they werre loud.  Here a few snaps from what was a wet but enjoyable day.
