A World of Wet

After a pretty wet January the ground tells its own story. A visit to Lyvedon on Saturday was a squelchy affair. Fortunately my hiking boots, although the tread on the soles is looking well worn, are properly waterproof. Stormy clouds were scudding by allowing glimpses of sunshine to peep through occasionally. It is a lovely isolated spot not far from some medium sized towns. The water does not seem to be a concern for the plants at the Lodge and at Old Warden. At the latter it is always worth a quick visit to the Engineering Shop encouraging a little monochrome photography. I’ll finish with a snap of our moon last week after a glimpse through the clouds. I include it as a mention to the historic upcoming flight of Artemis II taking humans back to the vicinity of the moon for the first time since the 1970s. This time the four astronauts will be taken the furthest any humans have been from planet Earth. Sadly a problem with the wet rehearsal will move the launch window from early February to early March. A little delay will not reduce the historic implications of this flight.
