More From London

Friday flew by with a large part of the day at the zoo and then back to Anne and Katie’s hotel by the London Eye to chill and enjoy an early dinner. As the sun was setting the view from the hotel suite terrace, yes terrace, was pretty cool. In the morning, after the taking the train to Kings Cross it was a short tube ride to Camden Town and from there a nice 20 minute walk to the Zoo. It was worth grabbing a couple of snaps along the way. I did wonder if the King of Falafel might be a bit of hyperbole. You see interesting things wandering the streets and then it was across the Regent canal to the zoo in Regent’s Park. There was more to enjoy at the zoo than the gorillas so here are the few more snaps, including Jack’s favourite. the capybaras. Rosie was torn between the Sumatran Tiger and the Asiatic Lion. In the gift shop the lion won. The butterfly house was special, as always. No trip to the zoo is complete without a visit to the penguins and their opportunist friend, a grey heron. There are some excellent projections on the ground in a couple of locations which certainly grabbed Rosie’s attention. In the second last picture a caption could read, “who is watching who?”. What a full and enjoyable day.
