BRIAN REID PHOTOGRAPHER

Off to Iberia Day 23 - Thanks Brittany Ferries, again

I am happily home after a fine trip to places I had not previously visited as well as some old favourites. The ferry crossing was a little bumpy but nothing that Stugeron cannot cope with. More sunshine but today a lot of wind too. What a contrast through. Around cities the size of Oxford in Spain there were four lanes each way orbital roads and flowing traffic even around what should be busy times. The city streets themselves of course are another thing. Around Oxford today it was two lanes each way and stop start all the way at 3:30 in the afternoon! Ah well that’s how it is. Now there is the usual housekeeping to get up to date and look back through my photos for a book selection.  I enjoy my trips but also am always happy to get home and sleep in my own bed. Here are a few shots from the ferry. As we left Ouistreham the pilot was on board as we navigated the shallows as indicated by the colour of the water. He then jumped aboard a pilot launch as we stopped to let him. As you will see it was a sunny day.

For orientation there is an outline map is here.
